(אישטטיון) אִיסְטַטְיֹון m. (στατίων, statio, v. Harpers Lat. Dict. 1882 s. v. Statio II, B, 4) seat of the fiscal officers in the Roman provinces, also the staff of officers. Gen. R. s. 66 (play on Shulamith Cant. 7:1) the people of Israel שמשלמת אִיסְטַטְיֹונֹו של עולםוכ׳ that preserves the (divine) government of the world complete (filling the vacancies) both in this world Cant.
